The THINK! Education resources

The THINK! Education resources have been created to help young people aged 3–16 to learn about how they can stay safer on the roads - as pedestrians, cyclists and car passengers.

The resources on this website are aimed at young people aged 11–16 and their teachers and parents. It includes three areas:

  • The teachers' area
The teachers' area includes PSHE, Citizenship, Science, English and Drama lesson plans and resources for teachers of 11–16s, all with a road safety theme.
  • The students' area
The students' area includes interactive activities, video clips and information about road safety for young people aged 11–16.
  • The parents' area
This area includes guidance for parents on how they can support their children's learning at school, and help to keep them safer on the roads.

There is another website aimed at children aged 3–11 - www.dft.gov.uk/think/education/early-years-and-primary/

Resources are also available for out-of-school groups for children aged 5–11, including Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, Cubs, Boys' Brigades and Girls' Brigades: www.dft.gov.uk/think/education/early-years-and-primary/out-of-school-groups/
